Left out of BRA team for 2019 PanAm Games due to injury but was called up days before the Games when compatriot Gabriel SANTOS (BRA) was suspended. He then won a third PanAm Games gold medal in the 200m butterfly.

Bronze in 200m IM at 2015 PanAm Games, silver in 4x200m free relay. In early 2020 he expressed his wish to retire that year after the scheduled OG. 'I'm feeling every little ache and pain. I feel old, I really do.'
