Silver at 2021 European Ch. In other events - bronze in the 200m IM at 2021 European Ch. Nicknamed Razzo - rocket in Italian. He first swam in a pool at just three months old. His sporting heroes are ITA Moto GP rider Valentino ROSSI and USA swimmer Ryan LOCHTE, who is a 12-time OG medallist.

In 2019, became the first NZL swimmer to win a medal in an IM event at the WCh when he claimed bronze in the 400m IM. Before a race he listens to music: 'I try and distract myself from thinking about how much pain I am going to be in during the 400m individual medley.'
