Mackenzie BROWN (USA): Finished 17th at 2016 OG. Placed 4th at 2017 WCh. Silver at 2018 PanAm Ch. Bronze at Paris 2021 World Cup event, silver in Guatemala City. Placed 68th in 2020 World Ranking. In other events - finished 5th in recurve team at 2020 OG, 9th in mixed team. She was a competitive swimmer and dreamed of swimming at the Olympic Games before finding archery.
Alejandra VALENCIA (MEX): 4th at 2016 OG, 17th in 2012. Finished 9th at 2019 WCh, 33rd in 2017, 5th in 2015, 9th in 2013. Won 2018 and 2010 PanAm Ch, 6th in 2021. In other events - bronze in mixed team at 2020 OG, 5th in recurve team. 'I don't consider archery to be a sport but as a part of me because, even if I wanted to, I cannot stop doing it. I've tried [not practising it], but I feel awful.'
